Patients who have previously used this facility can log-in with their existing passwords.

Unfortunately patients who registered after 1st April are temporarily unable to access on-line appointments.  Rest assured we are working hard to resolve this problem to enable ALL patients to access this service.

If you registered with Wellington Medical Practice after 1st April and you are interested in on-line appointments, please leave your details at reception -  as soon as the service is available we shall contact you with more information.

You can also ring our main switchboard number on 01952 226000 to book an appointment. 

Our appointment system provides the opportunity to book four weeks in advance with the doctor of your choice. 

Please keep your appointment or cancel it in good time as this allows efficient use of our services ensuring we are available for other to be seen.

Tell us if you want someone to accompany you during an examination or if you prefer a private room to discuss any matters.  Remember that the results of a test can only be given to the patient.   Please let us know if more than one person in the family needs to be seen, as an appointment is for one patient only. 

All calls to Wellington Medical Practice are recorded for monitoring and training purposes.

Telephone Advice

When all the appointments have been filled for the day, but you consider your condition to be clinically urgent, our reception staff will record your details and an indication of the problem, on the Triage Assessment List. 

You will need to provide a contact number that accepts ‘withheld’ numbers.  A clinician will telephone you during the day and either offer appropriate advice or arrange an appointment for you. 

Test Results

Test results are given out daily between 10.30 and 5.30pm by specially trained staff. When you call your details will be added to our recall list and you will be asked to provide a telephone number that accepts ‘withheld’ numbers. You will be contacted as soon as possible after that.

The practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. We will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

Home Visits

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
