Bowel Cancer

If you’ve had blood in your poo or looser poo for 3 weeks, your doctor wants to know.

Chances are it’s nothing to worry about, but these symptoms could be signs of bowel cancer, so tell your doctor. Finding bowel cancer early makes it more treatable and could save your life.

ShropDoc offers patients registered with our practice a full GP service when our practice is closed. For urgent advice and treatment,  call ShropDoc on 08444 06 8888

Test Results
Test results are given out daily by specially trained staff. When you call your details will be added to our recall list and you will be asked to provide a telephone number that accepts ‘withheld’ numbers. You will be contacted as soon as possible after that

Urine Testing

For patients who require a urine test, for example if you have a UTI, we have improved the testing service to make it quick, easy and hassle free. There is no need to queue, simply bring your sample to Reception where you will see a clearly labelled Yellow box on the desk with sample forms and bags. Complete a form, put it into a bag with your sample and then place in the yellow box. (Please note that samples without a completed form will not be tested). Results may take up to 5 days, however there is no need to call the practice as a trained member of staff will telephone you as soon as your results are available.
